Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission Statement

New Leaf - New Life supports residents during incarceration and in their transition back into this community.

Vision Statement

Transformative justice, personal growth, and self-advocacy

Values: Mutuality, Collaboration, Respect, Dignity, Inclusiveness

New Leaf – New Life believes in supporting our neighbors that have been impacted by the criminal legal system.  In this, we work to empower people towards self-advocacy; supporting one another in the spirit of solidarity not charity.

The core values that guide our work are based in mutuality, collaboration, respect, dignity and inclusiveness.  As an organization, we are committed to working in partnership with our impacted neighbors (mutuality), with likeminded committed community partners (collaboration), listening and acting on the legitimate concerns of all parties (respect), treating each person with the common decency due to everyone (dignity) and excluding no individual from our circle of love and service (inclusiveness).

Non-Discrimination Policy

New Leaf – New Life does not discriminate in service provision on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, sex, age, low income status, limited English proficiency, religion, citizenship status, military status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, housing status or any other category under any applicable law.  In employment, New Leaf – New Life does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status or housing status.  For employment and volunteers, we are intentionally inclusive of those who are over-impacted by incarceration and under-represented in leadership
