Bruce Terry
Community Liaison

A Bloomingtonian who left for a long time, Bruce moved back to Bloomington to take care of some family.  After many years of addiction, Bruce is committed to giving back to a community that he "probably destroyed a bit" and to helping other people one day at a time.
Misty James
Reentry Mentor & Support Specialist

Originally from Ellettsville, IN, Misty has lived in Bloomington for the past 22 years. Having battled addiction herself, she understands the complex struggles of such things as substance misuse and houselessness. Today she lives a life centered around helping others seeking support to improve their quality of life. She's very involved in her local recovery community, assisting women in helping maintain a life without drugs. She has two wonderful children and shares a home with her loving boyfriend and two parakeets, Jane and Charlie.
Cassie Blatz
Reentry Mentor & Support Specialist

Cassie is a longtime Bloomington resident who has been involved with New Leaf New Life since 2016. Throughout this time, she has become familiar with many of our local resources. As she says, "It feels really good to be in the position of Re-entry Mentor because of having the opportunity to give back to the community." Her passions are her grown children, cooking, and baking. In addition, she is attending school for baking and pastry arts. Culinary arts is dear to her heart, and she dreams of one day opening a food truck to distribute baked goods. She and her fiancé reside together with his two children and their cat, Mellow.
