New Leaf – New Life was awarded a total of $8,500 from the United Way of Monroe County and the Community Foundation of Bloomington & Monroe County through the United Way COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund and a Community Foundation Rapid Response Grant. New Leaf – New Life partnered with Indiana Legal Services and the Maurer School of Law at IU to offer the Bloomington Expungement Desk to former inmates starting in January, 2020. Although the Expungement Desk is currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will restart soon with bi-weekly support for clearing criminal records.
